Bio
Susan Felder has been a professional actor, director and educator for over 20 years. Her play WASTELAND received a critically acclaimed world premiere at Chicago's Timeline Theatre. Other scripts include TEMPLE SPIRIT (1st premiered at Echo Theatre - Dallas) and work-shopped by the House Theatre of Chicago; SWIMMING WITH VAN GOGH – chosen for the 2012 Arkansas New Play Festival, MILKY WAY AND MAIN - selected for the Judith Karman Play Festival and JUMPING MOUSE, a short play written for Kids in Distress. She is currently in research for a play about women in the gold rush era of Montana.
She has taught theatre with a focus on Acting, Shakespeare and Movement at CCM-College Conservatory of Music, Loyola University – Chicago, Northwestern University, Montana State University and Oklahoma State University. She holds an MFA from George Washington University and the Academy for Classical Acting.
Directing credits include THE QUIET MAN TALES (2 Jeff nominations) at The Chicago Theatre, A LOVE LOST LIFE - The Marlon Brando Story at the Theatre Building, WAITING FOR GODOT, the American premiere of THE BLUE HOUR, A SON AT THE FRONT, and HOUSE OF BUTTERFLIES for Loyola University and HAMLET for CCM - College Conservatory of Music. Ms. Felder has directed MACBETH, THE TEMPEST, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, JULIUS CAESAR, and ROMEO AND JULIET for Montana Shakespeare and MACBETH and HAMLET for Richmond Shakespeare Festival. She has acted as verse coach for numerous Shakespeare productions around the country, most recently with Aaron Posner and Teller (Penn and Teller) at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.

Chicago Shakespeare, Northlight, Next, Writer’s Theatre, Court, Remy Bummpo and others. She has performed in Japan, Canada and Australia. Regional acting and directing credits include Orlando Shakespeare, Indiana Repertory, Milwaukee Shakespeare, Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, Detroit’s Attic Theatre, Tibbits Opera House and Montana Shakespeare in the Parks. Most recently she played Prospero in THE TEMPEST for Richmond Shakespeare Festival. She was awarded
Jeff and After Dark Awards for acting - best ensemble (LARAMIE PROJECT – Next Theatre); a Thespie award for best supporting actress (MOTHER'S DAY - The Boarshead Theatre). Susan is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and the Dramatist's Guild of America.
